Ever since I asked you in
You've meddled in my life.
You send annoying people
Who rack my fragile nerves
And bruise my righteous heart.
You take control and change stuff.
You're always causing waves.
I ask you for a snake
I'm given fish instead!
And when I see a doctor
Who thinks that he is you
You tell me to forgive him?
A preposterous thing to do!
You take away my favorite toys.
You shift my point of view
And suddenly I want to change
And live my life through you.
Though I may pout and grumble
'cause your chastisements do sting
I wouldn't want your love any other way.
There's simply no denying it
My God is playing God with me!
